Wixon Boys Dance Party 2009

Not the best resolution with YouTube, but good enough to see the amazing dance moves of the Wixon boys. OK, maybe not amazing, but definitely interesting. The amazing part was that nobody was injured during the filming and nobody had to sit in our house's "timeout" spot.

Looks like funny stuff runs in the family. I know that you might like to squash me as a rising, possibly competitive humorous writer, but I implore you to reach deep inside yourself and gather as much restraint as possible to let me know what you think of my writing. I think that you are pretty funny. You favor the same dry, satirical, sometimes blatantly painful humor that I do. I know you're busy because I've read your writing and I've seen your hyper...I mean delightfully active children, but I'd really appreciate it if you'd take a moment and leave a comment on my blog. I'm a big girl, I can take if you think I'm stupid and not funny. (Okay, I probably can't take it, but I will try to accept your corrective criticism anyway). Cheers!

In recent weeks, we’ve had lots of heat advisories across the country. Some of the advisories were even upgraded to full-blown excessive heat warnings, which the National Weather Service issues immediately when heat indexes reach critical levels or Newt Gingrich is seen wearing shorts. (Or, if you prefer, Hillary Clinton wearing shorts. It’s hot enough outside that I don’t want to heat up either side of the political spectrum.) Fortunately, this year’s heat has been nothing compared to last year, when Dallas had its most blistering summer ever. But still, it’s August, so it’s hot just about everywhere in the country.
